One dollar. One shop. One year.

A small wager sets a very specific goal: $100,000 in net profit within a year.

The number is net profit

The Nocturne begins with a businessman’s one-dollar bet. The new owner has one year to make $100,000 in net profit from the coffee shop.

The distinction matters to the premise: sales alone do not settle the wager. Running the business means considering what it takes to make those sales as well as the money coming in.

A year made of ordinary decisions

Supplies, staff, purchases, and improvements turn a distant goal into choices within the shop. A useful decision today needs to be considered alongside the business that continues tomorrow.

The cinematic setting keeps those choices connected to people and objects. The work is presented as the life of a shop, with its conversations and surprises as well as its management.

Let the day be a day

The reality-TV-style design makes room for busy stretches, quiet periods, and opportunities the player may choose to leave alone. Not every moment has to become a mandatory prompt.

The wager supplies a destination. The shop supplies the daily experience of getting there. The complete game remains in development.
