The Nocturne

One shop. One year. A life to build.

A one-dollar bet starts a much larger challenge: can your coffee shop earn $100,000 in net profit within one year?

Inside The Nocturne

The life behind the counter.

The Nocturne turns running a coffee shop into an interactive, reality-TV-style film. The shop is a business, but it is also a place full of people, conversations, routines, and interruptions.

Management decisions happen within that world. You can speak, interact with what is around you, and let the day unfold. The challenge is financial; the life you experience along the way is much wider than a balance sheet.

01

Make the everyday matter

Customers, staffing, supplies, purchases, and upgrades give the shop its daily decisions. The consequences belong to the business and the people in it.

02

A film you can talk to

The design brings choices into conversations and objects in the scene. When a task naturally belongs on a screen, such as a purchase, it can happen there.

03

Let life keep moving

Rushes and quiet moments give the shop a rhythm. Passing on an opportunity is a valid decision, and the film can continue around it.
